Each year, our team brainstorms new and creative ways to give back to our community, and 2022 is no exception. In 2019, our President, Jay Torke, competed in Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County's annual 'Men Who Cook' fundraiser gala… and won! This year, Jay is cooking with his sous-chef, Dr. Brad Wicklund, O.D., to try and defend their title while raising money for charity.

What is Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County?

Established in September 1990 as a domestic abuse program, Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County, Inc. is dedicated to providing advocacy, supportive services, and shelter to anyone affected by the traumatic effects of domestic violence or sexual assault. Safe Harbor empowers individuals, families, and the community, and provides services at no cost to the recipient. 

Mission: To provide services to reach out to those affected by sexual assault and domestic abuse; provide support to those in crisis; and educate individuals, families, and the community, providing the tools needed to empower them to live lives free of domestic abuse and sexual assault.

Vision: To create a safe and respectful community free of interpersonal violence.

What is the 'Men Who Cook' fundraiser?

'Men Who Cook' is one of the top charity events in Sheboygan County, organized by Safe Harbor. All proceeds from the event will go to Safe Harbor to support their mission of empowering those in crisis in the Sheboygan County community.
